So, What's This All About?: A Quiz

The Introductory Quiz is taken online through WebCT. The purpose of the quiz is to test student’s understanding of the course requirements and policies and to give them an early opportunity to practice using the key digital tools essential in the course. The quiz will ask questions about the textbook, the course syllabus and the course web site. Some of the quiz questions will require students to engage in tasks such as downloading documents, searching the world wide web, and sending an e-mail message.

The quiz is open book and you have one hour to complete it. This quiz is worth 50pts.

To prepare for this quiz, you should do the following:
1. Activate your CEU e-mail account.
2. Read through the HIST 1700 Syllabus
3. Read the "Preface" to the course textbook, Give Me Liberty!

The quiz will be available on WebCT from Friday, August 29 through Monday, September 1.

Instructions

To take the quiz, follow these steps:

STEP ONE: Log on to WebCT

* Click on the WebCT button on the HIST 1700 web site OR go to the CEU homepage and select CURRENT STUDENTS > WEBCT

* If you have not previously done so, run a browser check following the instructions provided on the WebCT log in screen.

* Enter your username and password.

STEP TWO: Enter the HIST 1700 course

* Under the section of MyWebCT labelled COURSES, click on the title for HIST 1700

STEP THREE: Enter the Quiz

* Under COURSE TOOLS, click on the button labelled ASSESSMENTS.
* Click on the icon labelled INTRODUCOTYR QUIZ

STEP FOUR: Take the Quiz. Don't forget to press the SUBMIT button when you finish the quiz.
